Julie Sara Boyd B-Meet Rep, Self-Appointed Website Manager

Swimmers: Charlie (12) and Dylan (14)

Responsibilities: I work alongside April to help B Meets run smoothly: supporting coaches, organizing swimmer entries, coordinating volunteers, and collaborating with the opposing team.
Why do you volunteer? I love being part of what makes our team so special:the energy, the teamwork, and seeing the kids grow and support each other (and yes, it beats sitting in the stands in the blazing sun!).

Gerry
Gerry Kaufman Officials Coordinator

Swimmers: Meimei (13) and Bennett (15)

Responsibilities: coordinate recruitment, training, and mentorship to ensure PH maintains a cadre of NVSL-qualified officials (starters, stroke & turn judges, and meet referees) to officiate every meet fairly, consistently, and efficiently.

Why do you volunteer? As a former swimmer, I gravitated to officiating as a way to give back. However, no swimming experience is required — all it takes to become an official is the willingness to learn and contribute. Fringe benefit: officials always have the best views of the pool!

Amy Knobl Concessions Coordinator

Swimmers: Kendyl (15) and Katelyn (13)

Responsibilities: Lead the Crush Cabana concessions. I work with our amazing volunteers to make sure the Crush Cabana is stocked with all the favorites (Anita’s Burritos, Hot Coffee early for those A Meets, lots of candy) and that we run a great concessions stand from those first swimmers trickling in until the last event. Come join us this season as a volunteer in the shade in the Crush Cabana!

Why do you volunteer? It takes a tremendous amount of support to run the swim meets, and I love helping out by keeping our swimmers and patrons fueled and fed. It’s also the best spot in the house to feel all the Crush energy and watch the magic of the season.

Anya Robyak Swim Team Treasurer & Data Assistant

Swimmer: Brooke (16), Kayla (former Crush swimmer and Coach)

Responsibilities: As Treasurer, I manage the swim team’s budget, handle payments and reimbursements, and help home meets run smoothly by setting up the concessions cash box, getting Square ready to accept credit/debit payments, and paying our lifeguards. As a Data Volunteer, I partner with Ellen to make sure swimmer times are entered accurately in our system and that coaches have the info they need to set weekly A‑meet lineups.

Why do you volunteer?: Summer swim team is truly my favorite time of year! I love being on the pool deck, soaking up the energy, watching the swimmers give it their all, and seeing the younger kids cheer on the older ones (and vice versa). There is something special about the way they support each other – the sense of community is just pure joy!
